This week's edition of Classical Guitar Alive! is titled "Live from NY, Syria, and Brazil, and features performances recorded at the 2015 Barrios in Brazil festival in Manaus, Brazil, the Jo Ann International Guitar Concerto Competition in Buffalo, NY, and Damascus, Syria, and interviews with festival director/luthier and Barrios Mangore scholar Federico Sheppard and guitarist-composer/humanitarian Susan McDonald, who discusses her concert tour an residency in the Middle East for the organization American Voices.
