The program begins a suite of dances by English Renaissance lutenist Anthony Holborne performed by the Venere Lute Quartet. The young Greek guitarist Michalis Kontaxakis, winner of the 2005 Francisco Tarrega Competition, performs Manuel Ponce's Sonata III. Russian guitarist-composer Igor Rekhin's "Havana Concerto" is heard in a live 1983 recording made by Moscow Radio. One of Europe's best-selling classical guitarists is Danish guitarist Kaare Norge. In an interview recorded in January of 2008, talks about his composition, "Midnight". American composer Stephen Funk Pearson's "Mountain Moor" for mandolin and guitar is performed by Duetto Giocondo. The program concludes with more from Kaare Norge's interview, and his piece "Tango Amore."
